Fuck Fanagan [22 Dec 2005|10:48am]

I am sick of these Michigan State Representatives and their " We can break the poverty circle by preparing them for college" bullshit!

Quick overview

Poverty = no $$$ = no college - no matter how well you do in high school you are held back by lack of finances

Student Loans = debted youth = weak economy

Solution = High school should stop focusing on training kids for college and giving them direction in careers so once out of high school they can start earning a salary and be trained for higher positions by the company.

REQUIRED DEGREES CREATE POVERTY CIRCLE! Companies have cut spending by cutting crucial overhead.

SPENDING STRENGTHENS ECONOMY! The money companies save by cutting training and shipping jobs overseas

(where they dont have to deal with EPA or Labor Regulations) Goes into pockets of CEOs! NOT CONSUMERS!

Quick correlation- American worker of a factory of 2000 people makes $10 an hour @ 40 hours a week which

equals 400 a week net income to produce a product that costs $15. Factory closes down and is shipped

overseas, now product costs $5. Supposing factory worker still buys product every week he now saves $10

every week, but also only gets $7 an hour. Lets do the math. 7 dollars at 40 hours is now 280 a week

compared to 400. So now that worker is making a negative difference of 120 dollars, but saves $10 a week

turning the negative difference into 110. Times that by 2000 supposing every worker has a similar outcome.

That puts us at 220,000 negative every week for the local economy. Now multiply that by 40 weeks expecting

that every worker has a month vacation. That equals 8,800,000 out of the local economy every year.

We are not all rocket scientists. If you aren't required a degree to be a politician, than you shouldn't have to have a degree to make a decent living to support a family.

The Communnity has undergone some Changes.
It has been given new life.
Approach it as a Forum of New Ideas, a breeding ground for invention.
Don't be Shy.
It should be kept pure, so don't think it will be a fashionable thing to apply without thought.
This is the new place.
The Clean High.
The Swell.

education before admiration [15 Mar 2004|10:53pm]

it has come to my attention that most people don't even know what U2 is all about. It brings me to believe that those who choose the Beatles may only choose them because the Beatles are a well known band that can be heard from anywhere as to U2 who are a current band that have not yet reached that status. I am not bringing down the beatles, I have sat through the whole anthology, I know my Beatles, but seeing how most people aren't really educated about their music I wanted to know if my fellow posters have credability.

The following artist covered a Beatles song, name the song.

Joe Cocker

What album was recorded without Ringo?

What band was Paul McCartney in after the Beatles?

What album was Yellow Submarine on?

Now for U2 knowledge

How many albums has U2 produced?

How many of those albums were greatest hits albums?

Name 5 U2 songs.

Name the U2 lead singer.

U2 recently made the title song for a major motion picture that was directed by the same man that directed a series of Blues documentaries. The song can be found on their latest release. What movie was it, or name the song.

burning buildings keeps social problems crispy [15 Mar 2004|09:53pm]

The story of Josh Justice and I is a long and very tangable tale of bravery and wisdom, so now i will let the very flower of our past bloom in this story.

One day while walking the allies of Detroit I stumbled on some fools spitting rhymes with their boys, So I stepped in to make a phenomonone happen, I started rapping words like fire from a dragon, then I had to stop as the crowd caught their breath, but the next thing I knew it was I that felt less, for this cracker had done me twice with a tounge like a whip, Made me think about jumping this heated battle ship, So I doubled back and broke some mad hip hop, I was going so smooth it would a took a sign to make me stop but instead all it took was an interruption as whitey exploded with a vocal eruption ever word blending with the next a fading interface of poetic text equally epic to edipus rex, sweet audio sex, then we had to beat it as the beast pulled up, all I heard was sirens and ignorent thugs yelling "Fuck!", So we parted for a few intervals of time, but met eachother to end this battle of rhyme, two more hours hit the street until we spit so much we couldn't even speak, that's when we began the fight between feet, back and forth like samprass and agasi, it was a visual legacy of michael flatley, you could have slapped me and I wouldn't of felt it, we danced till the souls on our shoes melted. In the end we had found that neither was to be bested, we were equal in verbal and our footwork outlasted, so we gave it in to a draw, josh justice and I just some mad ill fool running form the law.
